A Brick Township man was arrested a 45-year-old township man at a motel after police executed a search warrant on a room where he was staying.
Just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday, members of the Brick police department’s Drug Enforcement Unit and the Selective Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at the Gaslite Motel (located at 2116 Rt. 88), Room 1. The warrant execution was the result of an investigation into heroin distribution that spanned several months, said Sgt. Neal Pedersen.
As a result of the warrant execution, Stephen McCormack was arrested and found to be in possession of 110 wax folds of heroin. McCormack was charged with possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and distribution of heroin. He was processed and transported to Ocean County Jail in lieu of $80,000 bail.
