A pedestrian was hit by a car during the early-morning hours Sunday in Brick, police said.
The accident occurred at 3:01 a.m. on Lanes Mill Road, Sgt. Neal Pedersen said. Patrick Brennan, 26, of Brick, was struck by a Chrysler 200 being driven by Joseph Lewis, 34, of Lakewood, according to police.
Pedersen said the Chrysler was traveling southbound on Lanes Mill and had just passed Stephan Road when the accident occurred. Brennan “stepped into the right lane” near the Brick Liquors store, said Pedersen, at which point he was struck in the southbound lane. Lewis immediately pulled over and called 911, and remained on scene to await police arrival.
