Crystal Point, a marina and banquet hall on the Manasquan River off Route 70, has applied to the Brick Township planning board seeking permission to build a new deck and outdoor pool.
The application, which will be heard March 8, calls for approval to construct an outdoor deck containing an in-ground pool and associated accessory building on the deck which will, in turn, contain a dock master’s office and two bathrooms.
The new features would be built in the location currently occupied by the dock master’s trailer, which is proposed to be removed, according to planning documents.

The plan requires planning board approval and a bulk variance to permit a side yard setback of four feet where a minimum of ten feet is required by Brick Township ordinances. The setback in question is from the internal lot line running through the interior of the marina and banquet facilities.
The Crystal Point facility includes a large marina with self-serve 24 hour fuel, a wedding and banquet facility plus an adjacent motel.
