Center consoles used to be reserved for anglers, but a new generation of the boat style has customers both upgrading and downgrading sizes in a move that is largely changing the market.
Modern center consoles are being manufactured in sizes more than 50-feet long. At the Atlantic City International Power Boat Show, which is taking place now through Sunday, two new entries in the giant center console category were turning heads – the Sunsation 32 CCX and the Tidewater 320 CC.
Both vessels featured luxury appointments, a cabin for sleeping, a head and a host of creature comforts. The show also features aisles of boat gadgetry, docking systems, personal watercraft and even a self-kayak launch.
