A public hearing before the expected adoption of the 2017-18 Brick Township school budget will be held Thursday night at Brick Memorial High School.

After introducing a tentative budget in March, school officials made a few changes, including a decrease in the amount by which taxes would be increased. According to a meeting agenda, the district’s $154,421,700 budget will be supported by a tax levy of $104,771,941. Inititally, the tentative budget included a levy of $152,524,469.

Last year, the total budget was $150,618,318, supported by a $103,511,385 tax levy.
