A Brick man will spend the next 15 years behind bars for stabbing a woman six times, nearly killing her.

Christopher Dalzell, 61, was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Patricia B. Roe, to 15 years in anNew Jersey state prison on the charge of first degree attempted murder this week. Assistant Prosecutor Robert J. Cassidy prosecuted the case.

The sentencing stems from the March 29, 2015 stabbing investigation during which Dalzell was arrested. On that Sunday at approximately 9:53 p.m., a 911 call was received by the Brick Township Police Department in reference to a stabbing at a Cedar Bridge Avenue address.
