A pair of Brick men have been charged in a home invasion robbery that took place last month, police said Monday.

The June 20 incident occurred at an apartment on Bridge Avenue in Point Pleasant Borough, according to Point Pleasant Police Capt. Robert Lokerson. The men, now inmates at the Ocean County Jail, forced entry into the apartment and “removed items within,” Lokerson said.

Detective Joe Hynes arrested Steven Carpenter, 24, of Herkimer Road in Brick July 6, and William Reeves, 29, of Schindler Drive in Brick, July 7. The two men were charged with terroristic threats, robbery, criminal mischief, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (a screwdriver and knife) and unlawful possession of a weapon.
