Coast Guard Searching for Swimmer Who Went Missing Overnight in Point Beach

The Coast Guard is searching for a swimmer who reportedly went missing off Point Pleasant Beach during the early morning hours Sunday.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay were notified by the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department at about 2:27 a.m. of a 24-year-old white female with brown hair who reportedly went missing while swimming with a friend.



The Coast Guard launched a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Station Manasquan Inlet and an MH-65 Dolphin aircrew from Air Station Atlantic City to search for the missing swimmer.
