The person who was found dead in a car outside the 7-Elevent on Burnt Tavern Road in Brick Wednesday night has been identified as a Philadelphia woman, authorities said Thursday.
Moiyamoe Foffanah, 21, was found dead after a Brick police officer forced entry into the vehicle after first noticing it having been parked in front of the convenience since the previous evening, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, which is now leading the investigation. The officer noticed a black female, now identified as Foffanah, sitting in the front seat.
“When the patrolman approached the vehicle, he observed the individual on the passenger seat unconscious and unresponsive,” Della Fave said.

Dr. Leslie Cauvin from the Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced Foffanah dead at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
“No outward signs of trauma were noted to the body of the decedent,” said Della Fave.
The scene was processed and photographed by Detective Laudicina. A search of the vehicle yielded negative results, officials said.
The deceased woman was transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River pending a scheduled post mortem examination. The investigation continues pending the medical examiner’s report, citing the cause and manner of death.
