Hundreds of Brick residents gathered Monday night to sing, dance and smile their way into the Christmas season.
The township held its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony just after dark, complete with a visit from Santa Claus. Festooned akin to a winter wonderland, Brick turned on a delightful display of lights and a nativity scene around its gigantic Christmas tree.
Mayor John Ducey led the evening, which also included performances from the Brick Township and Brick Memorial high school choirs.
