The Shore area will receive another dusting of snow – anywhere from a coating to just under 2-inches – as a storm system moves off the coast Friday.

The exact amount of snow that will fall will depend on how close the storm runs to the coastline, but forecasters seemed confident Thursday night that it would not be a major weather event.

The snow is forecast to begin at about 4 p.m., following a cloudy and cold day with a high of 35 degrees. The snow potential will last until midnight, though it is likely the storm will have tapered off by 7 p.m. About 1-2 inches of snow are expected to fall, though it could be just a dusting, depending on the track. There is also the possibility that the storm could outperform the 1-2 inch forecast.
