Poor conditions on the golf course forced the Brick Township Chamber of Commerce to postpone its Kathi Mead Memorial Golf Invitational on Monday, but organizers have already selected a new date.
The event will be rescheduled for Monday, Oct. 1. Alongside the round of golf, the chamber will also hold its wine tasting event, “Uncorked,” that day.
Chambers officials said the Jumping Brook Country Club, where the event was to be hosted, received over three inches of rain overnight which made the course unsuitable for play. The rescheduled event will, likewise, be held at Jumping Brook.
