One of the two home furnishing store chains planning to open in Brick will open this month, company officials said.
HomeGoods will open a 22,248 square foot location at Brick Plaza June 24, the company said in a statement on Tuesday. The Brick store is expected to fill approximately 65 full and part-time positions. Crews have been busy getting the store ready for its grand opening and already have the interior completed, the company said. Several photos of the new Brick location were provided for use in this article.
HomeGoods operates more than 650 stores across the country and is a division of The TJX Companies, Inc., the leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. and worldwide.
The store will have competition in Brick in the form of At Home, which is planning to open a location at the former K-Mart store in Laurel Square off Route 70. That store will not open until after the shopping center’s owner performs paving and some exterior renovations at the site, an spokeswoman told Shorebeat.
As for HomeGoods, located at 56 Chambers Bridge Road, a grand opening will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 24. Its regular hours will be Monday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The company said it offers “high-quality merchandise at unbelievable values—with prices significantly less than department and specialty stores.” It offers furnishings for every room of the house.
