Brick officials unanimously approved two contracts that will improve roads in a large township neighborhoods.
The work will include milling and paving along with wheelchair-safe crosswalk entrances, new driveway ramps and aprons as well as drainage improvements.
Two contracts were approved for the project. The first included Foster Avenue and Oak Hollow Road, all located off Van Zile Road. The contract was awarded to Earle Asphalt company for $194,616, the low bid submitted to the township.
The second portion of the project is the same work at Central Boulevard East. That contract was awarded to Meco Inc. for $287,746, also the low bid.
Construction generally starts within a mont or two of the awarding of a contract.
