One of the most frequently-requested streets to be paved in Brick is now, officially, next on the list.
The township council awarded a contract Tuesday night for milling, paving and drainage improvements in the “Holly Hill Cove” neighborhood, which includes Bluff View Drive, a street that has been plagued with deep pot holes and undercarriage-rattling cracks since sewer lines were replaced several years ago.
The $512,313 contract was awarded to Earle Asphalt of Farmingdale. The paving work will be completed on Bluff View, Holly Berry Lane and a portion of Tanager Way. Except for a small portion of Tanager, none of the streets have been paved in about 30 years.
Several adjacent streets – Point View Road, Paramount Way and Eagle View Ridge – were paved last month. Construction generally begins several weeks to a month after a bid is awarded.
