An aging building on Mantoloking Road will be replaced by a new development that will include a plumbing business and office space.
The existing building, located at 680 Mantoloking Road, would be demolished in favor of a new two story building for a plumbing contractor’s office, garage and an attached office or commercial building, according to documents filed with Brick Township’s Board of Adjustment. The developer is DMT Enterprises, LLC.
The structure conforms to the proper uses allowed in the business zone, in which the lot is located, however some minor “bulk” variances are required before construction can begin. The existing lot is slightly short of the square footage normally required (20,000 square feet is required while 11,787 is proposed) and some setback relief is required.

The proposal will be the subject of a zoning board hearing at the board’s Oct. 24 meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. at the township municipal complex.
