Brick police say a man who has yet to be identified robbed a gas station and service center in town after he brandished a gun Monday.

Officers were called to Lepore’s Service Center on Herbertsville Road at about 10:45 a.m., according to Sgt. Jim Kelly. Upon arrival, Kelly said, officers spoke to the clerk at the station who said a suspect described as a black male, approximately 5’ 8” or 5’ 9”, wearing all black, brandished the gun and stole an undisclosed amount of proceeds. He then fled the area on foot.

Patrol units canvassed the area while detectives conducted their investigation with the aid of Ocean County Sheriff’s officers, Kelly said. The victim was not injured and the investigation is ongoing.
