Brick Township will host its annual rabies vaccination event for township pet owners on Sunday, Jan. 13.
The rabies clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Drum Point Sports Complex. This will be the only free clinic for the 2019 licensing year, township officials stressed.
“We ask that you please cooperate by having your pet on a short leash and accompanied by an adult,” an announcement said.
There will be no licensing at this clinic. All dogs and cats, seven months or older, in Brick, must be licensed during the month of January, according to a local ordinance. A license is contingent on having an up-to-date rabies vaccine. More information on obtaining a dog or cat license can be found on the township’s website.
