A hearing to determine whether the Wawa store on Lanes Mill Road in Brick will be allowed to add gas pumps and replace its retail building has been pushed back more than a month.
The hearing was supposed to have taken place Wednesday night. John Jackson, the attorney for the applicant, and Ed Liston, attorney for an objector, were both present along with about a dozen professionals. But the board was unable to obtain a quorum capable of hearing the case, which began in October. The project requires variances before construction can begin, hence the necessity of a hearing.
Board Chairman Harvey Langer rescheduled the hearing for March 6, 2019, at 7 p.m. in the township municipal building. No additional notices will be published as to the date change.
