A Brick Township man is facing a drug charge following an investigation conducted by Manchester police.
The April 18 traffic stop on Route 37 by members of the police department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team resulted in the arrest of Amanda Robinson, 27, of Beachwood, and charges being filed against Jahad Evans, 40, of Brick.
According to Lt. Vincent J. Manco, the NET team members spotted a vehicle near County Route 547 and County Route 571, which was later stopped for further investigation and searched. Inside, police found drug paraphernalia, leading to the arrest of Robinson. When she was taken the police station, Manco said, she was found to be in possession of 200 doses of heroin with a street value of $900.
Robinson was charged with one count each of heroin possession, possession with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and loitering to distribute drugs.
Evans was charged with conspiracy to possess heroin and a warrant was issued for his arrest after the incident.
