The Brick Township Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting which will be held later this month.
The district remains in a state of turmoil following drastic state funding cuts and the unexpected departure of Superintendent Gerard Dalton after just one year as schools chief. Dalton is set to leave the district Aug. 26.
The special meeting will be held July 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Professional Development Center, adjacent to the central administration office at the Veterans Complex. No agenda has been released for the meeting, but a legal notice issued by the district stated that formal action may be taken.
