Lanes Mill Road has been reopened as the investigation into Tuesday’s shooting near Brick Memorial High School continues into the night.

A strong police presence remained in the area, but police said at about 7:30 p.m. that Lanes Mill Road had been reopened. Sally Ike Road, which had also been closed, was reopened earlier.

At 1:47 p.m., a 15-year-old victim was grazed by a bullet about a quarter-mile away from the school, near the intersection of Lanes Mill Road and New York Avenue. He is expected to fully recover from the wound, which a source said hit him in the shoulder area. Police have yet to name the victim or comment on whether any arrests have been made in the case. A press conference which had been scheduled for late this afternoon was postponed but never rescheduled. The school district has not issued a statement on the incident.
