A 43-year-old Toms River man who had been reported missing was found deceased in a car parked at the Brick Walmart store Monday night, police said.

Police on patrol in the parking lot at about 6:45 p.m. were alerted to a report of an unconscious, unresponsive man who was seated in a parked vehicle, Sgt. Jim Kelly said. That man was ultimately identified as Craig Turner, 43, of Toms River.

Turner was found not breathing and without a pulse, Kelly said. Officers immediately began lifesaving measures and were later assisted by EMTs. Despite the first responders’ best efforts, they were unable to revive him. Turner had recently been reported missing out of Toms River.

“Nothing on the scene indicates foul play,” Kelly said.
