A street paving and improvement project has been announced for numerous streets off Adamston Road in Brick, as well as a separate project for streets off Herbertsville Road.
The Herbertsville project is separate than the project which had a contract awarded last week under which a number of streets will be repaved following a natural gas line upgrade. In this second project, in which all of the streets will be improved between Herbertsville and Burnt Tavern roads, the following streets will see milling, paving, drainage and sidewalk improvements:
- 16th Avenue
- 17th Avenue
- 18th Avenue
- 19th Avenue
- S. Lake Drive
- Newark Drive
- Hulse Avenue
- Kelly Avenue
- Montclair Drive
- Madison Court
- Jefferson Court
- Lincoln Court
In the Adamston project, the following streets will receive improvement:
|
- Dorothy Place (from 493 to Bara Street)
- Bara Street
- France Avenue
- Greenwood Lane
- North Raleigh Road
- Raleigh Road
- Sailors Drive
- Huckleberry Court
- Sauers Drive
“Hopefully we’ll get these bids back quick enough where we’ll be able to do these this fall, but there’s a possibility we may need to wait until spring,” said Mayor John Ducey.
Asphalt plants in New Jersey traditionally close once the weather has turned cold, effectively putting off paving projects until they become operational again.
