Two members of Brick Township’s school board retained their seats Tuesday night in a close contest that included a former board member, a previous council candidate and two newcomers.
Melita Gagliardi and Daisy Haffner, who have aligned themselves with the Democrat-backed “Clean Slate” team members that first were elected to office in 2015, will return for fresh terms.
They defeated Robert Canfield, Cassidy Busa, Joseph Aulisi and former board member John Barton.
