Brick Township announced Tuesday that its outdoor parks and walking trails will remain open, but playground equipment will be closed for use to help contain the spread of coronavirus.
Effective immediately, all play structures – playgrounds, swings, etc. – at Brick Township’s municipal parks will be closed, the township’s police department announced Tuesday afternoon. Township crews will be placing temporary fences around these structures.
“This measure is being done to protect the health and well-being of Brick Township’s residents,” the announcement stated.
Parks will remain open and available to residents “for enjoyment for activities such as walks, jogs and enjoying fresh air.”
