Three Face Drug Charges After Brick Traffic Stop

Brick police nabbed four local residents on drug charge following a traffic stop Wednesday morning, police said.

Sgt. Jim Kelly said members of the department’s Street Crimes Unit conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Brick Boulevard and Schoener Drive at about 9 a.m., pulling over a car with four people inside.



The driver, Michael Trotman, 35, of Pine Beach Borough, was found to be in possession of approximately 18 grams of crack cocaine and a small quantity of marijuana, Kelly said. Passengers Janice Rivera, 32 ,of Lakwood, and Joseph Reavis, 24, of Toms River were also arrested for possession of marijuana.

Rivera and Reavis were processed and released on summonses.

Trotman was issued a warrant charging him with possession of CDS, possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. He was also issued several motor vehicle summonses. Trotman was subsequently lodged in Ocean County Jail

The vehicle, a 2006 Buick Lucerne, and $330 of cash were seized.
