Brick is still hoping to be able to produce its annual Summerfest celebration in August, and the township council on Tuesday awarded contracts for a beer and wine garden as well as a food truck provider.
Both of the contracts were negotiated by Business Administrator Joanne Bergin after no bids were submitted in response to two solicitations.
ZMRA, LLC, the operator of the Mantoloking Road Alehouse, reached an agreement to pay $6,000 for the right to sell beer and wine at the events, which consist of a concert followed by a fireworks display.
The food trucks that will be appearing are Tony’s Italian Sausage and The Empanada Dish. The two vendors paid $750 each to sell their dishes at the Summerfest events.
The 2020 lineup is set to consist of:
- Week 1: Super TransAM
- Week 2: The Nerds
- Week 3: The Amish Outlaws
- Week 4: Tribute to the ’80s and ’90s
Fireworks displays follow each performance. It is free to attend the series.
