A Point Pleasant woman is facing a slew of charges following an investigation by local authorities after a referral from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The task force identified a suspect in Point Pleasant Borough as possessing child pornography, a statement from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said. Detectives on Friday executed a search warrant at the residence of Lisa Cuervo, 24, the subject of the investigation.
Detectives seized a smart phone belonging to Cuervo which contained child pornography, the statement said. During the course of executing the search warrant, detectives also seized approximately 17 marijuana plants and assorted drug paraphernalia, according to prosecutors. As such, Cuervo was additionally charged with manufacturing more than 10 but less than 50 marijuana plants.

Cuervo was processed at the Point Pleasant Borough Police Department and transported to the Ocean County Jail where she is currently lodged pending a detention hearing.
