Streets in Brick’s Laurelhurst neighborhood will be repaved in two phases, officials said Tuesday, with the work also set to include drainage and other improvements.

The township council voted in favor of soliciting bids for the projects. Mayor John Ducey said the streets to be paved in the first phase of work include Laurelhurst Drive, Salem Road, Laurelwood Road, Forest Road, Glenmere Drive and Sunnycrest Drive.

In phase two, the roads include Robbins Court, Robbins Street, Diane Drive and Edgewood Drive.

Funding for the project was included in the township’s 2020 capital budget. Ducey said the improvements will include milling and overlay, plus drainage, curb and ramp improvements.

The schedule for construction will be set after the township receives bids, awards a contract and conducts pre-construction meetings.
