While municipalities all conduct Christmas tree pickup collections, those who want to see their tree be recycled and turned into mulch have 15 locations in Ocean County where the trees can be dropped off.
The program has already started (it began Dec. 27) and will last about two weeks, officials said. Trees can be dropped off at the following locations:
- Cattus Island County Park, Toms River
- Cloverdale Farm County Park, Barnegat
- Wells Mills County Park, Waretown
- Ocean County Park, Lakewood
- Beaver Dam County Park, Point Pleasant
- Jakes Branch County Park, Beachwood
- Mill Creek County Park, Berkeley
- Enos Pond County Park, Forked River
- Robert J. Miller Airpark, Berkeley
- Freedom Fields County Park, Little Egg Harbor
- Patriots County Park, Jackson
- Stanley H.”Tip” Seaman County Park, Tuckerton
- A. Paul King County Park, Stafford
- Atlantis Golf Course, Little Egg Harbor
- Forge Pond Golf Course, Brick
Officials said there will be a designated area for tree dropoff at each location.
