While municipalities all conduct Christmas tree pickup collections, those who want to see their tree be recycled and turned into mulch have 15 locations in Ocean County where the trees can be dropped off.
The program has already started (it began Dec. 27) and will last about two weeks, officials said. Trees can be dropped off at the following locations:
Cattus Island County Park, Toms River
Cloverdale Farm County Park, Barnegat
Wells Mills County Park, Waretown
Ocean County Park, Lakewood
Beaver Dam County Park, Point Pleasant
Jakes Branch County Park, Beachwood
Mill Creek County Park, Berkeley
Enos Pond County Park, Forked River
Robert J. Miller Airpark, Berkeley
Freedom Fields County Park, Little Egg Harbor
Patriots County Park, Jackson
Stanley H.”Tip” Seaman County Park, Tuckerton
A. Paul King County Park, Stafford
Atlantis Golf Course, Little Egg Harbor
Forge Pond Golf Course, Brick
Officials said there will be a designated area for tree dropoff at each location.
