The incident occurred Monday at about 1 p.m. at the intersection of Creek Road and Sawmill Road, police said. A caller reported hearing “several shots fired in the area.”

The juvenile’s name was not released; no photo of Williams was available from the county jail. Williams had been previous charged in May with drug distribution and weapons possession in a separate incident, which also included a 17-year-old juvenile.

The investigation is ongoing, Sgt. Jim Kelly said. Anyone with any information about the incident is being asked to contact Detective Benardino Alvarado at 732-262-4612.
