‘Several’ Shots Fired in Brick Condo Complex, Police Interviewing Suspects

Brick police say they are interviewing several persons of interest in connection with reports of gunfire in a condominium complex Monday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Jim Kelly, at approximately 1 p.m., officers responded to the area of Creek Road and Sawmill Road for a report of shots fired. A caller reported hearing “several shots fired in the area,” Kelly said.



The investigation is still active, Kelly said, adding that a weapon had been recovered. At this point in the investigation, detectives are interviewing several persons of interest, but no charges have been filed.

“There are no reports of injuries at this time,” Kelly said. “We do not believe there is a further threat to public safety at this time.”
