A month-long investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office into drug distribution activity in the northern portion of the county resulted in the arrest of a Brick man and a Lakewood woman.
Taishaun Cosme, 26, of Brick Township, and Janice Rivera, 33, of Lakewood Township, were charged after investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Lakewood June 8. According to a statement from prosecutors, law enforcement seized approximately 10 grams of cocaine, a “large quantity of materials indicative of illegal drug distribution,” a digital scale, and $4,700 in cash.
Cosme and Rivera are both charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute less than a half-ounce, simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. The pair were processed and released on a summons pending a future court appearance.
