Brick Township’s municipal government offices are closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day, and Public Works pickups will operate on a holiday schedule this week.
Public works pickups of trash and recycling will be pushed back one day for the rest of the week.
Brick officials also held the annual raising of the Italian flag along with members of Brick Township’s UNICO Italian-American civic organization this weekend. Mayor John Ducey, Council Vice-President Art Halloran and Councilwoman Heather deJong participated in that ceremony, which recognizes UNICO and Italian-American heritage each year.
