After some isolated thunderstorms in Ocean County Friday (different parts of the same towns had different weather… whoa!), the sunset was that of a very typical August night during the “dog days” of summer. It was hazy and sticky, but we managed to find some beauty after all. The video above is a 90-second (ish) review.
The National Weather Service is calling for a mixed forecast this weekend. Saturday, the NWS said, will begin with areas of fog early, before 8 a.m.. Then, there will be a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 86 and light winds. The chances of a thunderstorm are only about 20 percent.
A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible after 11 a.m. Sunday. It will otherwise be mostly sunny, with a high near 85. East wind 5 to 10 m.p.h. Chance of precipitation is, again, 20 percent.
