Brick police were investigating a robbery at a township gas station that took place late Sunday night.

Though he could not provide details given the fact that it is early in the investigation, Brick Police Sgt. Jim Kelly confirmed the incident that took place at the BP (formerly Gulf) station at 1150 Burnt Tavern Road, near the intersection with Lanes Mill Road.

According to Kelly, at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday night, a male suspect “brandished a weapon and made out with an undisclosed amount of cash.”
