One of three properties that were being pitched as a luxury compound – and potentially the largest residential real estate sale in Brick history – last year will go to auction on its own next month, the company running the sale announced Thursday.
The property at 423 Princeton Avenue will be auctioned off between Oct. 3-5 by Supreme Auctions, based in Scottsdale, Ariz. The company said the glistening estate, which backs up to the Metedeconk River, “provides the ultimate in privacy, luxury and waterfront living with no detail being spared.”
The 11,800 square foot mansion includes a limestone patio imported from Jerusalem, Israel, along with a two-tier swimming pool and spa that overlook an extended dock and boat lift. The property, being marketed as “Princeton Shores,” comes with six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a great room, a family room, a complete lower level devoted to entertainment for “hours of family fun and recreation,” plus an expansive private suite for guests, an au pair or a studio.

The property was one of three homes being marketed last fall as a “compound” along the river for $25 million. The trio of homes sit on a parcel of land over 2 acres in area, and were designed by the same family and updated and maintained ever since. The single home now being auctioned off is the easternmost – and largest – property of the three.
According to Ocean County tax records, the home is assessed at $2,699,300 (though this is likely far below its market value) and its owner paid $65,889 in property taxes in 2022. The records show the home was built in 2009 and sits on a .68 acre lot.
The real estate broker behind the auction said Brick’s location makes the estate an ideal retreat for a luxurious family getaway.
“We chose to work with Supreme Auctions on the sale of this home due to a shared vision for the property,” said agent Robert Cecchini of Keller Williams Shore Property Group. “The home is very grand, yet comfortable and intimate, memorable, and prestigious, and overlooks the Metedeconk river with beautiful views including the sailboat regattas.”
As the three homes were customized, the home at 423 Princeton took on its own style, reminiscent of the French Riviera or communities along the Balearic Sea.
“We custom-built the property to have a French Country style with craftsmanship that showcases elegance, charm, and entertaining both inside and out as we enjoy watching the boats passing along the river” said the current owner, in a statement from the auction house. “The home is spacious yet cozy and set back off the road offering complete privacy. One of my favorite custom features is the master suite which has both his and hers closets and separate bathrooms.”
The property is owned by 423 Princeton Avenue LLC, which state business records say is registered to Robert Sickel, the principal of the Pine Belt chain of car dealerships.
