A Brick Township man is facing criminal charges after a tip led police to his home, where they say they seized 21 electronic devices with lewd images and videos of children.
Brett Gerundo, 45, of Brick Township, was charged Nov. 3 with second degree endangering the welfare of children, Brick Police Ptl. Victoria Finelli said Wednesday.
The investigation was the result of a tip to Brick police reporting that Gerundo was in possession of child pornography. On Oct. 2, 2023, detectives from the Brick Township Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High-Tech Crimes Unit went to Gerundo’s residence to execute a court- authorized search warrant.

As a result of the warrant, detectives seized 21 electronic devices from the residence, Finellii said. A forensic examination of the electronic devices by the prosecutor’s office led to the discovery of “more than 1,000 images and videos depicting child pornography,” Finelli said.
On November 3, 2023 Gerundo surrendered himself at Brick Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and transported to Ocean County Jail. As of Nov. 15, he was no longer listed as an inmate in the jail’s electronic database.
