A community cleanup project is being organized for this weekend at the Sawmill trail and bike path in the Herbertsville section of town.
The Brick Township Environmental Commission will be joining volunteers from the community, including Scout Pack 47, and the Brick Memorial High School AF-JROTC to complete a cleanup of the Sawmill Tract this Saturday, Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon.
The meetup location for the cleanup will be Herbertsville Park, situated at the end of Nebraska Avenue.
“Any person interested in making a difference by helping to keep one of the largest undeveloped and preserved properties in Brick clean is welcome to join the effort,” an announcement said. “All supplies will be provided.”
Those seeking more information on the cleanup are asked to call Vin Palmieri of the Brick Environmental Commission at 732-262-1039, ext 1325.
