Brick officials have solicited proposals for a food truck to be present at Brick Beach III this season while repairs are made to the building that normally houses the snack stand.
At a recent meeting, the township council approved a resolution seeking bids for a food truck operator to purchase the right to sell their wares at the beach.
“We’re planning on using a food truck at Beach 3 this summer while we complete repairs at the concession stand,” said township Business Administrator Joanne Bergin. “The work should be done in May, but I didn’t want to take any changes and not have some concession available for beachgoers in the event the work goes longer than expected.”

The council last year included in it capital budget a structural evaluation of the building that houses the concession stand at Beach III and some regular maintenance and repairs were determined to be required.
