Brick Township will host one of its most popular spring events – the annual “Green Fair,” which lets residents and visitors interact with township build officials, representatives from environmental groups, try out unique gardening and “green” products, and see the work students in the township’s school system have been doing to improve the environment in their town.
The event will be held Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bob Anstett Cultural Arts Center, 515 Herbertsville Road. (The site is adjacent to the Havens Homestead Museum.)
The theme of this year’s outdoor event is “Cradle to Cradle,” and the goal of a zero-waste future by creating products and systems that can be fully repurposed, recycled or completely biodegraded at the end of their life cycles.

The Green Fair will feature exhibitors, vendors, prizes, refreshments, door prizes and more. Admission is free.
Having initially begun as a small event hosted at Brick Township High School gym, the Green Fair has grown to a large outdoor celebration of the environment that includes not only nonprofit groups and vendors, but township officials from departments that handle building and environmental matters.
