Brick Township has a community garden, and there is space available for any resident with a green thumb and a desire to grow something wonderful this season.

The Community Garden is located at Havens Farm, 521 Herbertsville Road, a historic farm that is part of a facility that also hosts cultural and civic events. Applications are now being accepted for beds in the garden for the 2024 season.

Community Garden beds measure 4-by-8 feet in area and 1-foot high. The season fee is $20 per bed with a limit of one bed per household. Beds will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicap-accessible beds are available.

Anyone interested is asked to download the application on the township’s land use website and carefully read the rules and requirements.

“Again, beds will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, so please act quick if you would like to participate in the Brick Community Garden,” an announcement from the township said this week.
