The Brick man who has been charged with desecrating the remains of a Toms River man who was believed to have been murdered in his home by a now-deceased assailant has been arrested.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced Tuesday that Jared Krysiak, 34, of Brick, a fugitive from justice, was taken into custody in Marlboro, N.J., by detectives from the prosecutor’s office and Toms River Police Department. Krysiak has been transported to the Ocean County Jail where he will remain lodged pending a detention hearing.
He was charged July 13 with was charged on July 13, 2024 with hindering apprehension and desecration of human remains in connection with a series of events that occurred in Toms River and Jackson Townships on or about July 3, 2024. He is alleged to have assisted Maxwell Johnston, 35, of Manchester, hide out in a Toms River home following the killing of a local woman, and dismembering the body of Kerry Rollason, 56, of Toms River, the owner of the home who Johnston also apparently killed.

Rollason succumbed to blunt force trauma and a gunshot wound, authorities said.
