Brick officials are organizing the next “Pick Up Brick” environmental cleanup event at an area of open space that is often overlooked by residents as they drive by on the way to the beach.

This Saturday, July 20, a community cleanup consisting of local residents as well as members of the organization Stroke Your ECO/Paddle For The Planet, will gather at Bambe Cross Cove on Route 35 South to help clean the area.

Bambe Cross Cove, also known as Swamp Cove, is located on the state highway along the northernmost section of the barrier island portion of the township. It was acquired and preserved under the state’s Blue Acres program and includes two walking paths that lead to Barnegat Bay through a wooded area.
