Brick’s annual Summerfest celebration begins on Thursday – Independence Day in 2024 – with plenty of food, friends, and fireworks to enjoy.
Summerfest begins at 6:30 p.m. at Windward Beach Park off Princeton Avenue, with a performance by Super Trans Am, which performs pop and classic rock hits from the 1970s as a “tribute to the decade.” The concert, as usual, is followed by fireworks which can be seen from the park and beach, as well as from boats in the Metedeconk River.
Summerfest will feature a food court offering a variety of foods, drinks and desserts. There will be a beer and wine garden provided by Windward Tavern available for guests ages 21 and over (valid ID is required to enter the garden).

Especially with Summerfest coinciding with the July 4 holiday this year, it is likely to draw a significant crowd, meaning the township’s complimentary shuttle bus service will be the best way to get to the park and avoid a traffic and parking issue.
The complimentary shuttle bus service will transport people to and from the following locations: Brick Township High School, Drum Point Elementary School, Lanes Mill Elementary School, Midstreams Elementary School and Veterans Memorial Middle School. Trips to Windward Beach begin at 5 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m. Return trips begin at 8 p.m.
“Anyone planning on attending Summerfest is strongly encouraged to use the Shuttle Buses,” the township said in an announcement. “Parking at Windward Beach is very limited and fills up early. We anticipate parking at the park to be filled very early in the day on July 4.”
