‘Meet the Mayor,’ Master Gardening Class, Pinelands History Scheduled for Brick Library

The Brick Township branch of the Ocean County Library is hosting several events in the coming weeks, including a chance to interact with Mayor Lisa Crate, and an opportunity to polish one’s green thumb alongside a master gardener.

The event schedule includes:



Friday, Aug. 23, 10 a.m.: “Meet the Mayor.” Join Brick Mayor Lisa Crate at the library where the community will be able to ask questions and meet the mayor in an informal setting. Free registration is required. Please call the Brick Library at 732-477-4513 or register online at this link.

Wednesday, Aug. 28 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.: “Ask a Master Gardener.” Have specific questions about plants in your garden? Need help diagnosing issues and how to address them? Stop in and speak to master gardeners for advice and to learn gardening techniques to help. No registration necessary.

Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 10 a.m.: “Brick Friends of the Library General Membership Meeting.” The Friends design and manage fundraising activities to support the library. New members are welcome. No registration necessary.

Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 11 a.m.: “Pinelands Flora and Fauna.” Listen to Joel Mott discuss the sights and sounds of the Pinelands and the wildlife of the legendary Pine Barrens: Pine Barrens tree frog, Timber rattle snake, Flying squirrel, and Bushy beard grass.
