Brick Township will host its annual remembrance ceremony and memorial to honor those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks, including several township residents.
The annual ceremony is held at the “Angel in Anguish” sculpture near the entrance to the beach at Windward Beach Park. The sculpture, created by local artist Brian Hanlon, shows an angel weeping over the names of township residents who died at the World Trade Center.
The solemn event, beginning at 6 p.m. next Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, will honor the memory of all those lost, including eight residents of Brick Township. The ceremony will include addresses from local clergy, officials and residents.
