It’s the sport that has taken the Jersey Shore by storm, and one of the most-requested activities from the township’s Recreation Department. If you haven’t learned how to play pickleball yet, your chance is coming soon.

The township will host a Beginner Pickleball Clinic exclusively for Brick residents aged 18 and older on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m. at Civic Plaza.

The fun, 90-minute session will introduce the fundamentals of pickleball and get new players started on their journey to becoming a “pickleball pro.” There is no need to bring any gear — equipment will be provided.

“Just wear sneakers, bring water and come ready to learn and have fun!” an announcement from the township said. “This sport is very easy to learn, and you will be playing games by the end of the lesson. Learn, stay and play while meeting other beginners.”

The cost of the program is $20 per person, and registration can be completed online at this link.
