NWS Forecast: Snow Begins After 8am Monday, 1-3 Inches Expected for Shore Area

The National Weather Service’s early morning forecast for Monday calls for an area of snow to move into the Shore region after about 8 a.m., ultimately producing 1-3 inches of accumulation before giving way to flurries late.

A winter weather advisory was in effect until 10 p.m. Monday. The NWS’s advisory statement said snow “will overspread the region and intensify through Monday morning.” It will then gradually taper off Monday afternoon and evening, giving way to an overnight low of a bone-chilling 17 degrees.

Some residual snow showers are likely, mainly before midnight, but any snow remaining will likely accumulate to a half-inch or less.
